Your projects, recordings and edits stay on your iPhone. An account carries your progress, friends and matches — never your music. We don't sell data or show adverts, and you can download or delete everything from Profile → Privacy & data.

Most of this is needed to provide the service you asked for (the legal basis is our contract with you). Usage events and keeping the service secure rely on our legitimate interests, which we keep small. Marketing notifications only ever go out if you turn them on.
Songs you import, recordings, the notes and edits in your projects, lyrics, backgrounds and exported videos. Your phone's backup to iCloud is between you and Apple.
We share information only with them, to run the service, or where the law requires it.
Your name, username, character, league, medals and record are visible to other players — on leaderboards, in the arena and on your profile. Pieces you list can be previewed and played by people in your league. Your email address is never shown to anyone.
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, everything tied to it is deleted straight away, except purchase records, which the law requires us to keep for tax purposes (up to seven years) — and those are kept without anything that says they were yours.
You can see a copy of everything we hold (Profile → Privacy & data → Download account data), correct your name, and delete your account from the same place. You can also object to or ask us to limit how we use your information. Write to support@blancnotes.app. If you're unhappy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Blanc Notes is for people aged 13 and over.
If this changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect.
